And so food is not what you cook, but what you make others taste.

Food art is not what you find under #theartofplating or on some Buzzfeed click-bait. But it is what people do on the edges of the mainstream. Not necessarily gathering the likes and notoriety, but creating something deeply original that invokes reactions more than an Instagram double-click (or one of Facebook’s all-encompassing reactions).

So I get so excited when I stumble on someone doing just that – making art with food that makes me smile and without knowing, stimulate memories that interconnect in new and exciting ways.
