It’s hard to describe the feeling of finally getting my hands on this dream. And particularly hard to describe it while balancing on a roof on a windy Barcelona afternoon…
Finally Papalosophy is more than just a vague collection of fish ties and clichéd quotes (although those will unfortunately continue).
Thanks to everyone for making this happen (I’ll try and thank as many of you individually over a glass of vermouth if possible). There have been countless times during the last two years the project could have died but each of you played a part in maintaining the inspiration and motivation through the ups and downs.
Now begins the massive task of mailing this tome to all corners of the world. And as the packets are opened, I am a combination of nerves and excitement as something so personal becomes public.
I’m incredibly proud to have pulled this off with two of my best friends; rockstar photographer Aldo Chacon and creative designer JoukInTheSky. We’ve all felt like hugging/killing each other at different times throughout the project but made it through unscathed, if not slightly skeptical when I say: “Just one more edit…”
The next step is to find a publisher to help in bringing a 2nd edition of Papalosophy to bookshops (provided they still exist) and to people who are after a cookbook that is an entirely different beast.
